I first started dreaming of being a writer when I was in first grade. Writing has always been my passion, and I am lucky to have built a career doing what I love!

I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. in English Language and Literature, and I’ve spent my career writing in several fields. I’ve worked as a Brand Copy Manager at a digital marketing agency, as a newspaper reporter, website content editor, and freelance writer. I even spent several years honing my craft in social media marketing, working my way up to an Independent Director with a direct sales company.

While working for a marketing agency in 2023, I had the opportunity to become a StoryBrand Certified Guide, leading our team’s copy strategy across social media, email marketing, paid media, and more. I found the StoryBrand framework process incredibly energizing—and I still do.

Getting to know clients, learning all about their organizations, and creating strategies and crystal-clear messaging that resonates with their unique audiences is something I truly enjoy doing.
